First off, we should define what I mean by "sports". Sports are games between two opposing competitors or teams of competitors where offense can be affected by defense. Basketball, Football, Hockey, Baseball... these are all examples of Sports. These are separate from Competitions. Competitions pit two (or more) opposing competitors or teams of competitors, but there is no defense, rather there is just competition between opposing offenses. This includes such so-called sports as Gymnastics, Track & Field, Racing, and Golf. There is no defense in these competitions. There's nothing Tiger Woods can do to prevent Nick Faldo from making a putt, for example. (I may declare an exception for Auto Racing, because my drummer Kenny tells me there is defense in NASCAR. I don't know enough about it to be sure, to me it looks like a comptetition. I'll keep ya posted...)
I've taken the time to do a couple of football-related projects. The first is what I like to call Super Bowl Rankings. I've taken all thirty-one NFL teams and ranked them in order of their Super Bowl Quotient, instead of simply their win-loss records. The second is my personal Football Favorites page, which ranks the teams according to how much I like them, along with my own opinions and observations about the teams.
